Custom built Lodge Homes by Breidenbach Construction

Our custom built lodge homes offer rustic mountain living but with  style and refinement not found in other houses being built in the area. Each house is designed for the existing lot to give the maximum amount of living space  with the least amount of wasted space. Our homes are based on an open great room concept with full living requirements on the main floor. Most of our homes are approximately 2000 to 2400 square feet in size.

Some of the features that we incorporate into  floor plans are:

Large open great room with cathedral ceiling.

Floor to ceiling stone gas fireplace.

Character maple hardwood floors.

Casement windows.

Our very own custom library style pine paneling  in main hall.

Curly maple kitchen cabinets built in our own cabinet shop with granite tile counter tops.

Large master bedroom suite including full bath with shower and  jetted tub, tile floors and double sinks.

Entire master suite is white washed tongue and groove paneling walls and ceiling with crown molding.

Ceiling fans in all primary rooms.

Large ample decks for outdoor enjoyment.

Gas furnace with air conditioning.

2x6 conventional construction with log exterior siding to achieve maximum insulation factors.

 We are located in the beautiful Appalachian mountains of Ashe County North Carolina. Ashe county is in the very northwest corner of the state and located 20 minutes from the Boone/Blowing Rock area, 2 hours north of Charlotte and 1 ½ hours from the Winston Salem area. Enjoy canoeing  or tubing on the New River, hiking on mountain trails, skiing at on of 4 ski areas or just kick back and enjoy the beautiful views along the Blue ridge Parkway.

Because of our custom detailed construction, we can only build normally one house per year. Each house is “turn key” construction  including lot, house and utilities and available at the end of construction. We do not do custom building for individuals.

At the present time we are building in the beautiful Woodlands Subdivision located just outside Jefferson, NC. All lots in this subdivision are approximately 2 acres in size. We are currently completing one house and have another started which should be finished  in the fall of ‘08.
